Technology development started almost 7000 years ago, in Egypt. If you think it started earlier (fire, wheel, ...) it's fine for me. And what is the results of all these developments ?
My in-laws now call us in Skype, and as it's for free, they do it as long as they want.
There were probably some advantages as being a caveman.
